Who we are
Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Christian Wolfram, MPH, FEBO
Dr. Wolfram is an ophthalmologist, researcher and founder of the Private Institute for Ophthalmic Care Research (IVO). After studying medicine, population medicine (MPH) and philosophy in Hanover and Rostock, Dr. Wolfram completed his specialist training at the University Medical Center Mainz. He is living and working in Hamburg. Dr. Wolfram has many years of academic experience with a focus on ophthalmological epidemiology and empirical research on ophthalmic care.
IVO collaborates with experts from the fields of epidemiology, social and health sciences, psychology, health economics and clinical research.
For our empirical studies, we cooperate with the company Swiss4Ward, which specializes in setting up medical registers and web and app-based studies.
Scientific Cooperations
IVO aims at a broad cooperation between various university and municipal eye clinics as well as outpatient care facilities in order to achieve the broadest possible picture of the care landscape in Germany and to participate jointly in the research results.
In addition to national cooperation, the IVO also seeks international cooperation through participation in multilateral study projects in a European and global context.
